4" Lift, Center Bearing Spacedown, 176" W Base?

I put a small spacer in under the driveline center bearing on my CC KR 350 4x4.. But there is a slight barely detectible rumble Towing big, at 8000lb load, around 1800-2000 RPM.... With a 4" lift back, 2" lift front, should I space it down more, like an inch???

Regards, Ranger in Oz...

if i remember right on a 4 inch lift you need a 2 1/4 spacer for the carrer bearing. alot of lift companies make them for around 25 dollars or you can make your own.

a driveshaft shop can also make it into a one piece so u dont have to worry about the angle..mines got like 4 small spacers and it vibrates on take offs.im goin to get mine made to a one piece for about $150-so keep that open as an option also!! goodluck

Who's gonna do that for you?? All the shops on my coast say that its too long and wont do it for me, which really sucks cus I really think I need one to get rid of my vibration.

HEY THERE LITTLE RED, MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE RANGER down under..

On the Driveshaft business, I have built a number of big custom trucks and the one piece driveshaft is fraught with problems if it is TOO LONG... For instance on my CC Dually 176" Wheelbase, it would be TOO LONG.. We call them TailShafts down here, and if it runs too long under load you can get what we call "TailShaft Whip" with disastrous results!!!!

That is why the carrier bearing and two piece shaft to anchor it mid span. You could only get away with it in a single cab or short bed, but the DriveShaft people, the ones that make them and spin balance them for you should be able to tell you the maximum length... Can't happen on my Crew Cab... NO Way...
