4X4 suddenly won't work

I have a 2003 6.0 and recently my 4x4 quit working, i have the switch on the dash, the switch it itself dosent light up when i have the lights on? but the 4x4 indidcater light comes on on the cluster. the transfer case does ingauge cause i cant spin the shaft when I have it in 4hi but the frount wheels wont pull me? so idk wht it could be maybe i need new locking hubs?

Check your transfer case motor, get someone under the truck wen u put it in 4wd to make sure it's actually working. If not I think it's 3 0r 4 bolts that hold it on. Very easy fix

Try locking the hubs manually. Mine won't work off vacuum at the moment, 4x4 light comes on but the fronts won't spin unless manually locked.

Checked the motor it makes a vacuum sound? I know the one on my gasser buzzes when it engaues. And I tryed the manual setting, the half shaft turned but there was no pull from the front wheels.

If u have too take the motor off t case and visually look at while ingaugin the 4x4. U should be able to hear it turning tho. If that's not it then idk.

I wish the labeling wouldn't have worn have so I could tell witch setting is which setting is which on the hub I'm hoping its something as simply as ones in manual and ones in auto

99% sure your auto locking hub seals are bad.

How hard are they to replace? They say I got 4-6 inches of snow coming Tomarow..... ha

Not hard, they're expensive to buy tho.
I recommend replacing with WARN manual lockers, and capping off the vacuum lines.
