2006 F250 Front Driveshaft Rattle

My Front drive shaft is rattling at low speeds. I checked the u-joints and they seem fine. But when I spin the shaft you can here something rattling inside the shaft tube.
Anyone have an idea what could be loose on the inside of the shaft? Is it possible to fix it? Or do I just need to replace it?

Thanks
Richard

If anyone ever comes across this post, It was a cap at the end of the slip yoke (inside the front shaft). Somehow it came loose and was rolling around in the drive shaft tube.
I was able to get the local drive shaft repair place to cut it open, weld the cap back in place and weld the slip yoke back on.

Wow. Never heard of that problem. Thanks for posting the resolution. Many folks never do.

oddly enough, I'm having the same problem. It sounds like a rock or something is INSIDE my front shaft. I believe i'll remove it, cut it open, hopefully find something rattling around, and then weld it back up.

Pretty strange if something is inside the sealed shaft
