Differential cover bolts

I am going to put on the 08 Alumininum rear diff cover. Ford says the bolts are 5/16x18x1.4".

If I add a washer should I go with 1-1/2" or is 1-1/4" long enough. I want to put stainless bolts on.

What is the size of the front bolts, regular steel cover? I want to change those out to stainless also.

Anyone do this?

Thanks.

sucks when all you hear is crickets eh?

I just got my bolts for the rear, I went with 1-1/4 and I have washers to go with, from what I've read it should be fine. If I can get my brakes done the diff cover is next on the list, I'll let you know how it turns out.

I saw that thread. I am ok I think with the rears for he 08 cover. I am looking for the front bolts for the OEM steel cover. I guess I may just have to pull a top bolt and check it out.
