Steering likes to pull hard to the sides!

This symptom happens so sporadic and widespread its hard to replicate it.. Happens probably once a week though.. I noticed my steering will some times pull hard to a side after I go around a very sharp bend. If I turn a hard sharp right afterwards when I try to straighten the wheel out it will keep wanting to pull to the right. I'm forced to hold the wheel hard and steady to the left to counter act to go straight. Same thing will happen for a sharp left turn.. The best way I've found to stop this once it starts is to hit a pot hole(or it'll go away after about 2-3 minutes of driving).. Whatever is locked up gets knocked backed into place or loosens up when I run something over.

I'm figuring its my U-joints or ball joints causing this.. but are there any other parts that could cause this problem?

My passenger u-joint was starting to seize up causing very similar issues.
