Ball joints, where to buy?

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to replace the upper/lower ball joints on my 4*4. I have checked pricing from ford, Napa and a couple of other websites. All of their pricing is comparable with one another. I have also found some super cheap rebuild kits on ebay but I'm somewhat reluctant to purchase those kits.
I guess my question is, where have you guys found the best quality/price combo?

My truck has 250k miles with original suspension, minus the shocks. Over the past few months I have been getting some popping while braking and slop in the steering. I'm assuming ball joints tie rod ends and maybe u joints. Any other suggestions while I have the wheels off? I just recently greased the locking hub assembly but not the hub bearings.

I also remember seeing someone suggesting a lesser expensive bilstien shock for our trucks. Does anyone remember which shock model that was?

Thanks!

I'd get XRF's...or if you want the best we have Duratracs..also the Bilsteins.

I'd look at replaceing the ball joints, tie rods and unit bearings.
