04 F250 Driveshaft Question
Ok guys Im new to the F250 world. Im a Duramax guy..I know I know but i found a great deal on an 04 Harley edition and I had to pick it up as well. I just want to know if any of you guys have or know of anybody that has swapped an aluminum driveshaft on their truck or if its even possible. The steel one on this truck is a rusted out piece. Theres no way its a power issue, I measured the length of my dmax driveshaft and my F250 and overall they are within a few inches of one another. I just thought Id sign up to this site and find out.

Welcome aboard.
Unless it's some serious corrosion, you should be able to remove it, etch prime and throw some paint on the shaft. Not exactly a quick fix, but it would be cheaper than an aluminum shaft. Which, by the way, I've never heard of being put into a Ford. If the GM shaft is longer, have it cut down to fit. |
