Whats the Dilly YO? Auto Hubs!

Well first off let me just say that you guys here at PS.org rock. I have been on many, many forums and never have i felt as though I have as many friends as I do on here. Heck i talk to more people from this forum on the phone on a regular basis than i do my family. Thanks and ill buy ya all a drink next time we are at the bar.

Now on to something that Im wondering what everyone else is doing. Have a 350, 04, 6.0 4x4 with auto front hubs. About 8 months ago i went to the beach. Came home and when the truck went in the shop for exhaust work my buddy told me that I had 1 or maybe both front hubs that didnt unlock themselves when i came off the beach and put it from manual to auto. So he had to pull them apart and get them to disengage. No big deal. Well sat night at the truck pull i locked them in again and noticed before i went home that if i crawled under the truck and grabbed the uv joints from the end of the axle tubes to the hub that i can spin them my hand power. THis is telling me they are freaking sticking again. What is everyone doing to fix this problem. Its kinda annoying. Still only got 45k miles on my truck. Is this covered under the 100k mile 100$ ford warranty deal? Thanks

Doug

The engine and related components are the only thing covered under the 100k. I would look into the Warn premium hubs or the superwinch ones like i got. 150 bucks or so and lifetime warranty. The stock replacements are like 300 bucks a side

Yeah, the only way they are covered is if you purchased an extended warranty (which I did). I think Raul had a special on these a few months back. You might try getting in touch with him.
