REAR END WHINING

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have 2006 F250 6.0. The rear end has just started to howl. It sounds like worn out tires on pavement, but makes the same sound when on a gravel road. It gets louder as I go faster, and there are no gear noised which are noticable, no grinding or anything. I checked the U-joints (no slack), checked the rear diff oil, its up to the fill hole but it does have an orange color to it. Is that normal? And what could be the cause of this whine? HEEEEELP!!! So I dont get sruck going to the Dealership.

I will worried about the orange color of the oil, definitely not normal as far as I know, If you suspect the noise comes from the axle it will not hurt to change the oil to see what happens, I hope someone else chime in with more suggestions.

Any updates on this? I'm getting some noise from the rear. I'm not sure if its the diff or bearings. I checked all u joints and the diff oil is new.
