Transmission issues

When is cold and i put it in reverse it bucks a bit then dies. Have to let it warm up for 15 minutes before moving. After tranny is warmed up... When I take off from a stop light it revs up then bogs way down then starts to move... Im not very familiar with auto trannys yet. It does slip from third to fourth gear also. If anyone has any ideas other then rebuilding the tranny let me know. Winter is coming and I need my tow vehicle for snowmobiling. Thanks.

Ok got a new tranny on the way. Anyone out there have input on maybe a new torque converter? Pros cons? Good or bad?
