Cruise Control Delay problem
Hi all, I just switched over from a '10 Cummins to an 07 PSD and have a few bugs to work out. The cruise control does not engage immediately when I press the "set" button. If I set it, the dash light comes on but as soon as I take my foot out of it, it starts to decelerate for a few seconds then drops a gear on its own to get back up to the speed I set it at. Any ideas what could be causing this? My truck is an 07 XLT with auto trans. It also might not help that I have 40" tires and 373 gears at the moment. I did correct the speedo with an H&S tuner but it acted the same way before and after. Thanks

Same issue with mine.. Further compounded by 37 inch tires... I just keep my foot on the pedal slightly till the Cruise Control kicks in. Learned habit. After 48000 miles (uncorrected) nothing has changed.
And now that I think about it. My mothers stock sized 05 F-250 KR does the same thing, though not as exaggerated as mine. Must be a Ford thing... |

Nothing wrong with your cruise control. That's the way it work in the 6.0L. Like the other stated just keep your foot on the pedal slightly until the Cruise Control kicks in.
