Sway bar bushings

Anyone else have any problem when replacing the sway bar bushings? I ordered a kit from energy suspension. The size is 7/8 which is right but the bushings themselves aren't big enough.

The kit i got is 9.5158R for a 22mm or 7/8 sway bar. They are a different shape and seems I have to push up hard on the sway bar to bolt them down with the new brackets. If i used the ford brackets they would be too big for the bushing and it would move around inside it. I don't want to put these on if putting pressure on the sway bar is going to wear out the sway bar links.
