Your front driveshaft is turning because your hubs are still locked in. Now you can try driving in reverse for a distance of about 15-20 as it says in the owners manual to release the hubs. If that does not work then you will have to take the hubs apart clean them regrease them and reinstall them. Most likely your t-case is in 2wd.

I have no clue if the 6.0 is the same but here is how the older truck 4x4 system works Auto Locking Hubs/Vacuum Problem Yours sounds like one of the hub seals is bad and not letting the proper amount of vacuum build in the hub before the solenoid times out and denergizes. The new seal for mine is around $30 and I replaced them while changing all 4 ball joints, took 1/2 a day and I had to make a tool out of a 6x6 block to drive the front axles and seals into the hubs. It was a bit of a pain. If anyone wants their auto hubs to work like warn manual hubs all they have to do is unplug the regulator on the right fender and the hubs will work manually and tottaly independent of the dash switch and transfer case.
