Hub Lock and Unlock

When driving down the road my left front hub locks and grinds real bad. It used to do it occasionally, but now it is a constant thing. I have to switch it into 4 hi to make it stop.

I was looking in to some aftermarket hubs to convert it to manual hubs because I rarely use the 4x4.

My question is will the aftermarket hubs work with dually front ends?

Anyone out there tried aftermarket hubs? Thanks -Chad

That would be awsome. I already got a quote for the conversion kit and premium hub, but I am open for any quotes I would like to order them tomorrow so if you can help that would be great.

I'm having issues with my 03 cc dually. The front hubs will not dis-engage after locking them in. Warn's website say's that their manual replacement hubs (38826) will not work on a dually. Is there some way around this or am I stuck with the stockers? Thanks

you are stuck with the stockers.... i have heard of people using the warns but they need to be milled down.. basically the SRW hubs are like 1/4 wider than the DRW setup so you would have to take it to get shaved down to install them

I found out that the hubs were not the problem after all. It turned out to be the seals in the axle housing were the axle shafts come out of the housing. They were worn out and causing the axles to seize up thus cousing the hubs to lock in. I changed the seals and no problem since.
