What the heck is this? (hub question)

OK, I can usually tell what most everything is for on most vehicles, but I am lost on this... I looked at the service manual, but I do not see it in any diagrams. This is a picture of the passenger side steering knuckle on my 2005 4x4 CC.

What the heck is this? (hub question)-img_0737.jpg

It looks like a brake bleeder (but it is not on the brake caliper) - the rubber cap comes off and there is a barbed end on a hollow tube.

Try to take it easy on me...

Thanks,

MikeB

^ right on, IF You have ESOF (Electronic Shift on the Fly) Auto Hubs theyll have a line going in here, but you must have the NV271 T-Case, Manual Shift, and Hubs that you have to lock manually by getting out the cab.
