Rear wheel bearings.

I have been hearing a click or light clunk as i get in my truck. Tonite I grabbed my rear wheel and pulled it in and out. It felt as if my lugs were loose. I checked them and they were all tight. I think my axle bearings are loose. Can I just tighten the nut in the axle or do I actually have to replace the bearings?

I've replaced them and if I can do it, anybody can. Not difficult, but the parts are quite spendy from Ford. Get the inner and outer bearings and seals from Napa and you can save yourself some money. There's also a special socket you will need that is $35 from Napa and only $18 from O'Reilly's.
