ABS light on/ soft pedal?

For starters,I have an 06 F250 FX4 CCLB 6.0. The other day the ABS light came on for a short bit, then went away. Yesterday it was on all day while running around. Problem was when I pulled out of supply house parking lot. When I applied the brakes at the intersection the pedal went halfway to the floor, then started pulsing as it started to stop. I've read many threads about bad Abs sensors, but can they cause intermittent soft brake pedal? I drove about 120 miles yesterday and it happened one more time on the drive home.
