No 4Low but get the light?
Hi all,
New to the forum, with a new (I think) issue: My new (to me) 2006 F350's transfer case will not complete the shift from 4High to 4Low but I get the dash light indicating it is in 4Low. In fact, I get no drive to the wheels at all as it appears to be stuck between the two ranges. This is an ESOF NP273 case. I'm guessing the gear motor encoder is being fooled into indicating the 4Low is engaged. Are these encoders problematic? Thoughts? Thanks! |

Well, patience is key.
It seems the PO had never used the 4Low range. A day on some dusty roads got the T-Case to shift down. Selected it in and out a couple of dozen times and it shifts like butter, now. :happy |
