Front end noise Vid inside
I have been having this front end noise. I have took it to a front end shop and they said my ball joins and tie rod ends are good, I have jacked the front end up and I have no play in in the front wheels, side to side and up and down. I have a video to help describe the problem. Its a 2005 f250 4X4. It sounds like a popping noise. It happens when I turn slowly and on uneven pavement. please let me know I just don't want to be throwing parts at it. here is the video YouTube - ‪front end noise‬‏
Note: I have pulled of the swaybar and it still makes that noise and I replaced my locking hubs. It only makes it on the driver side right where the axle is. Last edited by TwinTur8os; 06-18-2011 at 05:20 PM. |

TT, I couldn't do anything more than make guesses, (bearing noise) but that's about as bad as I've ever heard. I'm sure someone else will chime in.
BTW, I never get tired of hearing a 6.0 running. |

swar bar links for than likely, does it seem to happen more when it rains? or if u are rolling a little and hit the breaks real hard?

well when I disconnected the sway bar it seemed to make the noise more persistent. could that rule out the end links? I dont know about when it rains I have not driven it in it, and when braking hard I dont hear it. only when turing at slow speeds or going in and out of driveways I hear it.
