rear shake, front end noises :(
hey all, i have an 05 f350, i currently have two issues, the first is i have a bad shake on the rear of my truck, and when i hook up my horse trailer its even worse like 10x worse, the shake gets worse as the speed goes up, more noticble at 80km/h and goes from there
its not the tires, i just had them balanced an rotated the mechanics have looked at my ujoints an hanger bearing, and said they look fine, no play, then the front end has started a clunking kinda noise when turning left, has a bit of a vibration to that as well... any one know what it is? or ideas? |

I have the same thing going on with my truck as well. It is a 2005 CLB. Mine will do the shaking as i turn from a start. Ex like when going right on a red light! My Ford guy says I need to have the clutch packs redone on the rear end of my truck

Well the front end when turning sounds like a wheel bearing to me. As far as the rear end the first things I would have thought of would have been:
1. Wheel balance 2. Alignment 3. Ujoints 4. Driveshaft out of balance? 5. Rotor imbalance / warping? (do you feel any pulsating or uneveness when you lightly press the break pedal, does the vibration go away or get worse when you brake?) Since you've had most those checked out I honestly couldn't tell ya outside of those. Hopefully someone more familiar with this can help ya. |
