rear wheels

ok so i got stuck today, i noticed only drivers wheel was spinning arent they both suppose to work? i also couldnt get the 4 wheel drive to work unless hubs were in lock i guess theres a vacuum leak.
this is on my 04 work truck not the 07

most trucks have an open rear diff so that means only one wheel at a time a huge weak point in such a beastly truck thanks ford :-( and for the 4x4 not enaging thats another massive plague on these trucks there seals on the hubs that over time rot out and ford wants 1400 to change them so when winter comes just lock ur hubs and you can use the in cab selector whenever you need the 4x4

yeah i had a brain fart on the one wheel thing. I figured it had posi, im used to seeing the passenger wheel spinning, im gonna put a posi in this spring i pull a big rv in the summer. yeah ive researched the seals leaking. heck if your ball joints are loose itll make those seals go bad. shoulda made it electronic
