stuck in 4 X 4

I was driving home from the corner store and I decided to make sure 4wd was working, turned the knob and now I can't get back into 2 wheel drive. I tried going from D to N, N to R, P to R every combination possible. I turned the truck off, tried driving around the block and repeating that process at each stop sign. Got home tried turning the auto hubs to lock and back to auto.

Any help would be appreciated.

Disconnect the batteries for a bit. See if that helps.

did u actually try backing up for 20' or so?

Fixed, crawled under truck a hit the motor on the transfer case with a rubber malet
