Light metal on metal sound

I was driving down the road at about 40 mph and I heard this loud thug noise, almost like I had tools in the back of my truck and they slide back and hit the tailgate. Ever since then, I have randomly been getting a light metal on metal noise coming from somewhere under the front floor board and simultaneously getting vibration in the fuel peddle when I hear the noise. The noise primarily comes and goes when I am hitting small bumps in the road. Any thoughts or suggestions?

It turned out that i needed to replace my leaf springs in the front.
