Weird steering problems

I've got an 05 f350 that all of the sudden won't steer to the left like there's no powersteering. But the brakes work the same way,kind of a soft pedal for about 2"( been like that since I bought it) and steering to the right is just fine. I'm thinking gear box blew an oring or seal, just happened all at once. The ps pump is slightly damp on the bottom, but not dripping.Any opinions. Thanks, John.
