Gear shifter indicator out of sync.

Just noticed today that when I shift my Automatic shifter to a gear it is off by as much as a whole gear. In park, it is somewhere between park and reverse. Anyone know where I should start? I have a 2004 F350 6.0 liter dually.

Under the dash you should find a cable with a white knurled knob on it. You can make the adjustment with that. I'd post a pic but at work photobucket's blocked. Gotta love websense!
