I believe you're running them. I was looking at 33/12.5s but was told I would rub so I had to settle with 285/75 R16 Toyo Open Country MTs. Even with these I still rub at full turn.

yup you at least need a leveling it to run any bigger... im running a 3.5" shackle leveling kit with an add a leaf in the rear and im fitting 315's

31x10.50's are probably your safest bet.

my friend is running a 285/75/16 buckshot maxxis mudder and they didnt rub on the stock rim but he bought some 16 x 10 rims and they rub pretty bad on turns

I ran 305/70/16's on 16x9 wheels on my '99 without any lift. The drivers inside would rub at full turn, but just a tad. So we drilled 2 holes in the fender liner and pulled it back a little with zipties. That worked. Later just for looks I added the 2" leveling shackles on the front, but I think I could've run 315/75/16's once I leveled it.

You should be able to run 33s stock height and 35s w/ a 2" leveling kit. That's what I've been told.
