Rear Diff differences??

Just wondering if anyone knows if theres a difference in the earlier 03-04 F250 10.5" compared to the 05-07 F250 10.5"? Mine is needing rebuilt in my 05 and was wondering if a used 03 whould fit? Thanks

It's about 2" narrower per side.

cool, thanks for the info. I thought that there was a difference in the backspacing of the wheels, but wasen't sure.

2005 Axle is wider and the calipers are bigger. 16' wheel won't fit. The rear abs wheel speed sensor is different also. Switching the outer hubs and backing plates between axles will not work. bought an 05 and to tried to change the axle width and get it to work but no combination of parts will make it work.

Thanks, that's good to know. I was thinking about changing the hubs on an 03 but wasen't sure. A guy was parting out an 03 and lowered his price lower than the parts I bought to fix my 05.
