I have a 2005 F-350 srw King ranch. I was wandering when in low range why would the truck act like the torque converter has a stall so it doesn't come in until a certain rpm. When you let off and try to go does same thing feels like it is slipping and then cones in. Should you be in first gear when in low range.

Not exactly sure what you are describing but when in gear in low range with an auto you usually have to hold the brake pretty good to keep it from moving. If you let off the brake it will crawl along at about 5 mph and the rpms will go up real quick when you push the accelerator. It sounds like maybe your transfer case isn't fully engaging.

Your are probably just feeling the tranny shifting. In 4lo any shift delay is amplified. And my truck only goes about 5 mph in 1st lo, it wants to shift into 2nd almost immediately.
