bad day

so I was driving down the interstate today on my way to buffalo, ny when my front left wheel bearing seized up, then my brake rotor sheered and I found myself calling the tow company from a ditch. Great day.

Anyways, I got the truck disassembled to get ready for repairs but I'm looking for an exploded parts diagram on this area. Including all gaskets, seals, retainer clips. I mean everything. It looked like I set off a 1/4 stick of dynomite in there...and might as well have.

I tried looking online, but didn't have much luck with anything that detailed. Some of the parts of familiar with, but part numbers and such would be so much easier to go to the dealer with.

The only thing I can say (from experience, unfortunately) is that if one side has gone, the other one isn't far behind. Since you're going to have the front end disassembled, go ahead and get the kit from Dynatrac that replaces the non-serviceable unit bearings with the conventional bearing/spindle setup. The sticker price isn't cheap, but, then again, neither are the unit bearings ($1100 a side here!!) Also, this whole install takes less than 4 hours.

yea, I saw those. I don't have that kind of money though. Haven't been working much, in the process of changing careers and I just used the last 300 I had today getting my truck towed...and that wasn't even back home, just to a buddy's house 3 towns over. And lucky for me, the passenger side was replaced last year...when I had the money..I should've done the kit at that point
