05 newer steering box on an 04?

Will an 05 or newer Superduty steering box fit on an 04 or is it completely undoable? I noticed the steering box on an 05 seems to have a much bigger steering shaft than my 04.

My truck is on it's second steering box at 66k, I was told the drop down pitarm on my 6" lift places extra strain on the steering shaft of the box which causes it to wear quicker. This was obvious in my first steering box, and I was hoping the 05 box with the bigger shaft would bolt up without any major mods.

You should call Red Head in Seattle and talk to them. I had my box break gears because the shaft was large enough to transfer the force. In the process it took out my hydro boost. I was told a bent shaft would have been rebuildable, but they couldn't do anything with mine...
