I think that the Dodge is a good truck we had a 01 and a 05 at the company that I used to work for. What we used them for is to haul big trailers of sheet rock they weighed anywhere form 9000 to 20000lbs. I personally liked the 01 better it felt like it pulled better then the 05 that was said to have way more power ( and both trucks were bone stock ). But like they said be ready for tranny issues we had to replace them about every 100000k. We had Fords and one Chevy in our other shop that had chips in them but there trannys held up way better it seemed. To me I think that all of the diesels are really good now and they all seem to pull about the same if there stock. But Im a Ford guy i think that the Ford by far has the best interior out of them all. Like they said the Dodge crew cab that you are looking for is small the same as a extended for the Ford and Chevy. The Chevy does ride the best but you are buying a truck aren't you??? So i guess its up to you what you want to do and plus I think the Dodges are way cheaper at least the new ones are. Let us know what you do!!!
