Oftentimes the V engines can do a bit better with less horsepower due to a broader rpm band, and average power can beat peak power but there's just no way a 550 hp diesel of any brand will lose to a 300ish truck....no way, unless the numbers are way off for the trucks, or the power isn't getting to the ground.

Did you have your truck dyno'd? Post a sheet if you did, it beats the naysayers. At 320 hp, you'll likely run in the 15's.....any other rig with over 200hp more than you isn't going to lose unless there's a major issue somewhere.
