Well said John but it shouldn't have to be said at all. I too, am concerned about just how many "interested" members are going to be active. And that IS what it's all about. Ts and stickers will be cool, but we need participation.
I tried to get some participation at the Jamboree Nationals in Anderson last month. John hooked up with a friend to save fuel and Granny and her husband drove 4 hours out of their way that day to attend for an hour or so. That's dedication! (Derrick would have been there anyway, right?) Can't expect everyone to make this kind of sacrifice every time there is an event, but if you live in the Upstate of SC or Western NC, the June Dyno in Blowing Rock is a great opportunity to show your interest.
It would be great if everyone drove their truck, but heck, this is about friendships too and not just about trucks. (Can't believe I said that.
) Carpool, or is truckpool a word? Let's make an effort to get there, somehow, someway.......
