Sawyer1, I would say pencil it out, unless you drive a ton of miles, it seems like the difference in fuel costs between the two trucks can't be that much.

I would focus on getting as much mpg as you can out of the diesel and maybe driving less. Don't forget about the possibly higher license cost on the newer truck plus the money you're spending to trade.
