Why did you get a new left front shock? I've got a squeak in the front end that is driving me nuts. I never suspected the shock but you got me thinking.
I also have the clunk... I thought I saw a TSB saying this was normal. As stated above, greasing the slip joint was the solution on older trucks. I don't know if it's the same setup on the 6.4s
