My warm up time is same, even below freezing. The factory gauge moves up at the same rate and stays at the same place it did with the factory thermostat. If it's not paranoia, then you could have a bad thermostat.
Have you squeezed the top hose to see if it's building pressure? Is the overflow cap on? Just somethings to look at before deciding it's a bad thermostat assuming everything is good.
