Me and my buddy took a 55 gal drum lid and placed a pick up tube down through the two inch bung in the lid. We made this using a 2" nipple screwed through the 2" bung and used bell reducers on each end (2" to 1" reducers). The pickup tube goes into the barrel. Cut the pick up tube about 6" short of the bottom so you don't pick up the crud in the bottom. Don't be greedy...filters are expensive. On the top of the nipple on the top side of the lid we put a 1" barbed fitting for poly pipe. Place an air chuck in the small 1" hole in the lid. Put the lid on with the barrel ring and pressurize to 3-5 psi. We use a small air compressor and plug it in at the restaurants we pick up at. Works very well in the warmer times of the year. Will not work very well on Hydrogenated oil unless it is very warm outside. This is an easy and reletively cheap method. Don't overpressurize the barrels. That gets a little sporty and very messy.
