Sounds like you have a bad oil cooler. It is most likely plugged up and not fully functional. What was your coolant temp? I think the Ford recommended max is a 28* differential between oil and coolant temps. Mine typically stays within 6 to 10 degrees.

If you are under 100K miles I would make a trip to the dealer and hopefully they will replace the oil cooler under warranty.
