Im trying this method since for right now it is a cheaper method than shelling out the $600+ for individual components or $2000+ for higher end vehicle specific kits. Right now this allows me to get onto the biofuel bandwagon with what I have available. I planned on building a small diesel truck using a 4 cyl mazda diesel engine/trans that I was gonna set up to run on SVO. I plan on designing my own SVO "kit" from individual components, mainly a heated filter setup using glowplugs as well as a heat exchanger for the fuel tank to accomplish the oil heating goal. Since economy is my main goal, it doesnt make sense to rack up credit card debt buying commercial SVO kits when they more or less do the same as most of the individual components, which is heat oil up to 200 degrees. A simple arctic fox fuel tank heater and a glowplug heated fuel filter can just about accomplish that from what Ive studied. Im one that believes in keeping things as simple as possible to minimize hassles down the road....
