I had the same problem and the first Ford dealer wanted to
replace the pump for $1200.00 so I called another dealer and They fixed it for $200.00. I would call the dealers and ask
for a price and if they tell you more than $300.00 move onto the next one or call any place that works on diesel trucks.
It's not a big job and you don't need to replace the pump.
