Quite honestly, I know fellows who ran theirs on race (or higher) without doing any mods, but I don't recommend it. I kept mine on tow until I did my exhaust, then only bumped it to race. I absolutely will not go to extreme until my gauges are hooked up. Yes, I know I'm being conservative, but I'd rather do that than buy a new turbo or worse.
