we hers the deal. I went to go have some fun yeasterday in the dirt, not hard off roading just some mud, and some trail driving, well I had to go through a creek that had about 5-7 inches of water in the bottom of it, i got out and locked the hubs, got back in and put it in N turned the knob to 4 low, the put it in D. It went through the creek with no problem, like it wasent there. after the creek i put it back in 4 high and drove about a helf mile at very low speed, 5 mph tops. turned around and went through the creek again in 4 low. Every time i put it in N to make the change between 4 high and 4 low. After i got back across the creek i put the hubs back in auto. Well now i have noticed a loud pop that can be felt every where in the truck. I thought that it might not have came out of 4 wheel drive, but i made a 400 mile trip that afternoon, and still got 19mpg. so i know the 4x4 is not ingaged. It sounds like its comming from the front diff, like if the clutches are not comming undone after ingaging 4x4. this only happends when im turning hard left or right. What could this be?
