if you go with a aftermarket CAI the AFE is the best for the Duramax but you really don't bennefit from one untill you hit into the 425-450RWHP range..if he goes with the Diablo just tell him to keep it below 80-90HP and he'll be fine with the stock tranny..
the best programmer for the Duramax IMO is the PPE..
