Ford just started the recall earlier this month. Even if you don't have a problem you should have it changed. I already have 2 newer ones sitting in my glove box but have the original CMP on the engine. I've heard of guys having unexplained performance drops but the engine perks back up after a new CMP is installed.

I'm surprised that the dealership gave you new ones. My dealership wouldn't give me a new one. They told me they are responsible for the recall and had to do it themselves to be able to certify the work. What would take me 10 minutes cost me 3 hours at the dealership. It's a sensor with a couple of 10mm bolts. Just when I think I can't get any more frustrated with the service department (they told me an hour and a half). I should have expected it.

Anyway, it's free and it's done. Might as well since it's at no cost to you. Just time.
