It has nothing to do with trying to save a few $$ at all..

I will be doing this job at my work so I can use the hoist/lift and not have to work on my back installing the detroit and setting it up..

The reason I was wondering is I have 80w90 gear oil in 45 gallon drums at the shop (in pneumatic dispensers) and if it was ok to use I would fill it up with that rather then go get 4 individual quarts and put them in with a funnel/hose...

Our shop buys all our oil bulk...

I will go get 4 quarts from napa
