I have a 2000 7.3 f350 ex cab with 410 gears and a 6 speed manual. I have been getting 18-19 in town as long as I keep my foot out of it. It is completely stok with 112000 miles on it. Is there usually much difference in the fuel mileage from auto to manual?
I used to have a 2005 exc cab f250 with the 6.0 and auto and when I first got the truck it would get arround 19 mpg in town. After I owned it for about 2 years they had a recall on I think some thing to do with the exhaust temp sensor. While they had it they reflashed the computer and then it wouldn't get better than 15 mpg. After I had the truck back for a month or so I call and asked why the change in the fuel mileage. They basicly told me that 15 mpg was the norm on thoe 6.0.
