The tool should have come with your truck if you have the tpms.
The relearn procedure is only used when you rotate the tires. It will not retrain the vehicle if you are running tires with a lower pressure rating than the stock tires. The relearn procedure only allows the truck to determine what tire is at what location after a tire rotation. I have tried this procedure twice, and both times it was performed correctly. The tires I have on my truck have a lower pressure rating than the stock tires. When the relearn procedure is performed after a tire rotation the low pressure light on the dash stays lit. I have talked to two different dealers and they act like they have no idea what you are talking about and have no idea how to correct it. I know that the TPMS is required by law, but I wish someone would learn how to disable it or reprogram it. I have thought about doing the PVC pipe trick, but would rather do it another way if possible. If anyone figures out how to disable or reprogram the TPMS for lower pressure rated tires please let me know. The yellow low pressure light on the dash is really getting annoying.
