I'd ditto that the DIY intake is the best way to go... unless you want the flash and flair of some unit out of a box. Myself, I'll take cheap and 3 times the filter area anyday, matches my muddy 'only-gets-washed-when-it-rains' truck. Some people have fab'd up nice sheet metal boxes to house the new filter, I didn't, dang it's tight there behind the battery, the hood has put a crease in the filter where it hits, holds it nice and tight! On the 99.5 trucks like mine, it's simple. I looked at my friend's early 99, and the piping to the turbo is a little diffrent, might need a 45 elbow, not just a straight piece of pipe like the later ones... GO for it!
