Transmission problem
I have 7,100 miles on my 08 6.4 4X4 crew cab. On this past Friday I noticed my transmission hesitate. I rode less than one mile and I got an error message on my console. The error message was a wrench. My truck would not shift out of 1st gear. I drove back to my house and shut off my truck. I started it back up and the error message was gone. I drove about 1/2 mile and the truck shifted OK then I got another error message. I drove the truck home and called my dealer's service department. I had my truck towed to the dealer. The tow was covered by Ford. My truck got there too late to be checked out on Friday so I am waiting until tomorrow morning (Monday) to hear what the error message shows. My Ford Dealers service manager said it was probably some sensor that went bad. At 7,100 miles? I checked and I had transmission fluid at the proper level. I have not had one thing go wrong since purchasing my truck. I do not tow heavy items. I will post again when the truck is fixed. Has anyone else had such an issue?
