What he means is you need special tuning programmed for the larger sticks, something you defintely don't have now. When running performance tunes on our trucks your injectors will call for more oil than what the HPOP can put out, this will set the SES light and throw the dreaded 1211 code, nothing wrong or being hurt it is just thrown when the parameters exceed a given level, but it does mean you aren't getting full benefit out of the tunning either. It usually takes WOT, or close to it, for more than 7 sec to set the code, most of us just live with it, others who aren't "married with children" go for BIG OIL = Big $$$, this involves running two pumps to keep up with what the injectors are calling for. You are looking at $1,800-$2,000 for Big Oil if you do the wrenching yourself. Bob at dieselsite has been working on a beefed up single pump for a couple years now but nothing has been released as of yet and he is being tight lipped about his progress, this could mean he is getting close or simply gave up, lol!! Larger injectors lead to a larger turbo and then big oil, and then water/meth injection to keep EGT's down so it's a big step to take, but if you follow through with it you will have a permanent grin on your face!!
